Women and Jewelry

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

I am not so much into jewelry. But most women I know love to wear or own them. However, I wear a gold chain occassionaly as it bears significance in my husband's family tradition. In Indian culture, it's a must-have for Indian women. Gold adornment is such important in their culture in such that if you don't wear one, you'd look like you're naked. It is true. And the more you adorn yourself with gold jewelry, the more beautiful you'd look. And so when my husband has extra budget, he loves to buy me a gold jewelry.

For other cultures, it's just a status quo. You're wearing gold jewelry; you're at the upper class of your society.

For some, acquiring gold doesn't have to be a jewelry in form. It could be a gold bullion. People who want to invest smartly do buy gold bullion. It is by far the most liquid investment trading even from the ancient times.

People do invest in gold bullion for some reasons. One, it is one way to preserve their wealth and buying power. It is safe to invest in gold, especially if you keep it either in bank or a safe box.

What about you? Would you invest in gold bullion form or in jewelry form?

0 and you speak, too:
