Today is the last day of August. That means it's the end of a month-long shopping sale in Malaysia. I haven't even started shopping yet. Blame it to my buying a very expensive gadget. But I don't have any regrets. I believe I can do shopping some other time and I believe there will be sale going on from time to time.
Shopping wholesale can be cheaper. But of course, I don't need to buy wholesale of everything. Our house is not that big enough to accommodate such huge buy. I guess if I do buy wholesale, it would be something not so tangible. You may check http://www.wholesaleinsurance.net to see what I mean.
Anyways, another reason for not going shopping is that my husband has been away most of the time this month. We didn't have time to really go around shopping, aside from shopping for our groceries.
Like I said, we can do shopping next time when it's really needed.
Lazing Around
Monday, August 30, 2010
I have so many plans on doing while hubby is away. I am not sure if I am just lazing around... but I am nowhere near halfway through my list-of-things-to-do. I guess I have just been spending more time with kids. It's a weekend. We usually go out on a weekend. But since hubby is away, we're in the house for 3 straight days (Friday was a school holiday too).
I was actually planning to wash my bed sheets. It has been almost 3 weeks and I haven't changed our sheets yet. I felt more guilty when a friend said she changes her sheets twice in a week. Gosh probably if I had extra or two of those matouk linens, I can do that. Heard that matouks have good quality so it's okay to wash 2 times a week.
Anyways, will really have to wash the sheets, linens and curtains soon.

Weight Loss Challenge
I was reminded of my weight loss challenge when I chatted with friends and talked about our plan to go on an island escapade next year. I somehow purposely forgot that we were having a bikini challenge. Hahaha. I know. It has become our joke. But wouldn't it nice when you actually reach your goal weight?
It's the same as fulfilling your dream career. You may want to be one of those successful Texas Maritime lawyers and be it; you may want to be a professional photographer and be it; or you want to be a world traveler and actually can travel the world. Gosh it's really something to be able to reach your goal.
And what am I doing? Just lazing my butt off? I guess I need to have another motivation so I can get up again and pursue my weight loss goal.

Are you fond of wearing t-shirts? What does your t-shirt say about you? There are a gazillion types and designs of t-shirts you can see outhere. But one thing for sure. Your t-shirt does really say something about who you are. There are people who are oblivious to this. They wear just about any shirt they can find. I used to last time. A friend who went to England brought me a t-shirt that has Harvard University printed on the front. So even though I didn't go to Harvard University if I wore that shirt, people would think that I have actually gone there. I only realized that later though. Now I don't wear that short anymore because 1. I didn't go to Harvard University for my degree and 2. I haven't even gone to see the university. That time, I haven't gone to England yet. Another friend would gaze at me in awe everytime I wore that shirt. It was fun getting some reactions by just wearing a t-shirt that has a certain logo or design on it.
And so I say, if you want to impress people, wear custom tee shirts and see your friends reaction when you wear something that's not you. LOL. Anyways, nowadays, there's a lot of custom printings you can do. You can even do a film poster or even a some custom coffee mugs. I remember we were given mugs with the church logo on it when we went to attend a Sunday Service in one of the churches here in Malaysia. Customized stuffs are also good for gifts. So if you're looking for a custom printing service, you might wanna check out cafepress.com.

Dreaming of a Vacay
Sunday, August 22, 2010
Woahhh... I just posted about just coming back from Brunei and here I am, dreaming of going for another vacay. Oh well, it's always nice to plan ahead, right? Not sure why my feet are itching for another adventure again. I guess it's just built in me, the desire to see more of the "other side of the world." Guess I should try and look into Branson vacation packages. Although I have been to the US, I haven't gone to Branson yet. I have a few friends that go who for a vacation. It must be a wonderful place to visit then.
I also dream of going to Schengen. A friend of mine is planning to go next year. It's so soon already, I know. I guess, having spent a sky-high amount of moolah getting my new toy, I probably need a couple of years to save up for a Schengen trip. But who knows, right?

Long Break
I know it's been long... too long to go on without my daily workouts. I haven't gotten back to my exercise routine yet. It is not good. Not at all. I wonder when I can start again. We actually just came back from Brunei. I thought when we came back, I could start again. But then we had guests who visited us. So I postponed it for a few more days. It's been a couple of days since they left and I haven't started a finger yet.
Anyways, while contemplating on when I could really really start, let me find out about Corolla short sales. Seeing short sales could probably motivate me to go on with my quest.
And oh, speaking of my quest... I was just reminded to use my uKimono belt already. It only takes 10 minutes a day. Gosh I am so demotivated to do things.
Going to the Gym
Friday, August 20, 2010
No, I am not going to the gym. In fact, it's been a long time since I have gone there. I guess I blame it on the workouts I do at home. I am not complaining though. I really love going to the gym because after I run on the treadmill, I go to the sauna room. And sometimes go to the pool and swim in between.
The other thing I like about the gym is that the room is surrounded with mirrors. It's not the convex mirror type. It's just plain ones where you can see yourself doing exercises at different angles.
This just itches me to go back into the gym. Maybe next week.

Missing Workouts
Monday, August 16, 2010
I haven't been doing my workouts the past couple of weeks. Somehow my body is aching for it. I hope to get back into my routine when I get back home though. I miss doing Jillian Michael's 30-day shred. My favorite of all was the level 2, targeting upper body and ab. Really loved that. It's where I saw the difference on my abs. I hope I haven't gone back to my previous weight, otherwise, I have to start all over again.
I am thinking of buying an exercise mat so the impact wouldn't be that hard on my knees and elbows. I wonder if I can use a reward card to buy this one. It would really be good if I can buy an exercise mat. That would be my next priority when I get back home.
For the meantime, I am enjoying Brunei and Jollibee. LOL.

uKimono Belt
Friday, August 13, 2010
I may have told you already.. but I guess it's worth mentioning again that I won uKimono trimmer belt. It's one of those you use to tone down your tummy. With my quest to trim my middle part, I was happy to get one.
Sad to say though that I haven't started using it yet. My mother-in-law has. She is enjoying using the belt. I guess I have been busy these past few weeks I didn't have time to do things I needed to do. I haven't exercised for a very long time already.
I can't wait to try the uKimono belt though. It's worth 799RM if you buy it. Gosh, winning one item is a lot better compared to sale shopping, even on Black Friday sale. It was my first time to win on a draw. Not sure if I could ever win again. I hope I will.

OSIM uKimono Media Event
Saturday, August 7, 2010

As you know by now, I was invited to a media event yesterday by OSIM Asia, announcing their first local uKimono ambassador, Belinda Chee.
The program was opened by welcoming of guests by Liza followed by a welcome remarks by Mr Gary Gan, Marketing Manager of OSIM Malaysia.

I was glad to see Belinda Chee so cheerful and beautiful as the first local uKimono ambassador of Malaysia. She demonstrated the uses and features of the OSIM uKimono.
The highlight (for me) of the program was the Lucky Draw where 3 OSIM uKimonos and OSIM 3 uKimono minis were up for grabs. I said it was the highlight for me as I won one of the uKimonos.
With my quest to lose weight, thus this blog, I was happy that I have a new paraphernalia member to help me lose weight and tone my tummy. As you probably knew, my aim has been to tone my tummy down. It was just so timely that I won the uKimono trimmer belt. Gosh! It's a sign. I must lose it. I must tone it down! LOL. Well, what have I to say? I have another motivation now to go for my quest in losing that post pregnancy fats here and there.

After the draw, there was lunch served at the same venue, at Yuzu Japanese Restaurant. I opted for seafood. It was such a fantastic meal. I didn't mind finishing my set meal. Japanese food is such healthy food.
I came home with a happy tummy and a happy me. I had Japanese food, had photo with Belinda Chee and uKimono trimmer belt to help me tone my tummy down.
What can I say?
Thanks Liza for inviting me.
Belinda Chee Appointed As OSIM's First Local uKimono Ambassador
Friday, August 6, 2010

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; 5 August 2010 – In an exclusive media event attended by more than 40 guests yesterday, OSIM, Asia’s number one brand in health and lifestyle products, proudly announced the appointment of Belinda Chee, a fast-rising multi-talented artiste as their first ever Malaysian ambassador to their OSIM uKimono.
Joining local and international celebrities such as well-known Taiwan personalities, Lin Chi Ling for OSIM’s uSoffa Petit Massage sofa and all-female Taiwanese group, S.H.E, for OSIM’s uKimono in Taiwan; Belinda Chee has become the latest celebrity to join the health and lifestyle endorsement bandwagon.
Speaking of her new opportunity at an exclusive media event that was held in the sophisticated Yuzu Restaurant at The Gardens, Belinda says, “I am thrilled to join the OSIM family. OSIM has been on my radar not only because of their great range of health and lifestyle products, but because the brand inspires people to achieve a sense of well-being and to stay healthy and feel beautiful, inside and out.”
When asked how she keeps her body in great shape; Belinda shares just one tip: “I have been using the uKimono diligently. I put on my uKimono at least three times a day – once in the morning, once in the afternoon and once at night. Due to my busy schedule; it is hard to fit in a gym session or go for a jog in the park. The portable uKimono not only makes me feel great; but it helps me stay slim and trim; whenever and wherever I want to. It’s a wonderful respite after a hard day’s work as well.”
With a localized ad campaign in the works, OSIM’s marketing manager, Mr Gary Gan, says Belinda Chee’s endorsement underscores OSIM’s commitment to providing innovative health and lifestyle products that can be enjoyed by all Malaysians.
Considering her charm, bubbly personality, sexy and energetic appeal; the 29-year old forayed into the entertainment world as a television host for a popular TV program called 8TV Quickie; and since then, have landed numerous gigs as advertisement talent, actress, emcee and model representing many consumer brand giants all over Malaysia.
Belinda will actively endorse OSIM’s uKimono via a multi-media campaign which launches this month; featuring in editorial and advertising, and showcasing the products to the public at promotional and marketing events.
The OSIM uKimono, features the Duo+ technology which combines OSIM’s signature Twin Power Osimotion with kneading massages, for an improved and effective method to get rid of flab by breaking down fatty tissue around the tummy, butt and thigh areas; tightening muscles and creating a perfectly trimmed body when combined with an effective diet plan. Targeted towards women of varying ages and backgrounds, the portable OSIM uKimono is ready to provide an experience for those wanting to lose inches around their tummy, thighs and calves, anywhere and anytime.
Belinda says she looks forward to introducing people to the OSIM uKimono and uKimono mini, a brand synonymous to being slim, trim, healthy and beautiful; and at the same time, inexpensive at just RM 799 for the uKimono, and RM 298 for the uKimono mini respectively.

Boring Workouts
Thursday, August 5, 2010
Working out is a tedious and sometimes a boring affair. So what people do is to vary their workout routines. Some do yoga, dancing, cycling, hiking, jogging, running, playing sports and a host of other physical activities. With these other activities come other equipments or people needed. Like when you’re playing badminton, you don’t only need rackets or shuttlecocks but you also need a partner and a court. Playing basketball is not fun without other people to play with. With cycling, one need a bicycle and sometimes you wish you had one of those yakima racks to carry your bicycle with. Or you wish you had a car for your Yakima rack for you to be able to carry your bicycle anywhere you need it, if you can’t cycle in your own area. Or when you want to jog, you need to wake up real early because one cannot jog in middle of the day or they’ll burn, not their calories but their skin. The bottom line is, if we want to lose weight or be fit then we have to sacrifice a bit.
To Drive or not to Drive?
Wednesday, August 4, 2010
Hubby has been encouraging me to start taking driver's lessons. But sad to say, I am not very keen in driving on Malaysia road. It's not that I don't like the road. In fact, Malaysia has a very good traffic system. What I am not confident about is that I don't have confidence in driving on the wrong side of the lane. I might get into an accident in case I forget where I'm supposed to drive.
Risking your life is one thing while risking others life is despicable. So, to drive or not to drive?
There's a lot of accident stories I have heard. A lot of these things happen everywhere. There are countless other accidents because of irresponsible driving. Since there are already several land-based disasters, we must be proactive and take measures in order to stop or lessen them. Going to car insurance companies to avail of insurance is one. Another is making sure that all drivers on the streets are licensed to drive and all those who have license passed the driving exam or test. More importantly, we should not drive under the influence of alcohol or prohibited drugs, while talking to the phone or texting, and doing other things that keep your mind of driving.
Risking your life is one thing while risking others life is despicable. So, to drive or not to drive?
