Ellipticals and Sauna

Friday, April 30, 2010

I took a break from doing Hip Hop Abs after day 6. I hosted a steamboat dinner at day 7. I thought if I was going to host a dinner, it should be healthy too. No oil. Just boil everything and voila! we had a great dinner.

On the 7th day, I went to the club. I decided to run on the treadmill with the husband. I did sauna too. It was sooo refreshing.

But I didn't do Hip Hop Abs...

and for a fews days, I didn't.

This morning was our sked to go back to the club. I felt too lazy I didn't pack our things. Hubby sensed it... so he packed our things instead. He said if we don't do it because we're too lazy to do it, there's a risk of not doing it anymore. And the effort would be a waste.

And so I dragged myself today. I'm glad I did coz the moment I hit the treadmill, I didn't feel like stopping. But since we went there late, I only had 20 minutes to do it.

I hope to do HHA again this afternoon.

This is my 10th day, right? If I remember correctly, I started doing my HHA on the 21st of April.

So what's the update with the bikini body challenge?

Hmmm... nothing much. Still cannot wear bikini.

Except that I am happy that I have toned my abs a bit... it's not enough to really brag about. Hehehe. I didn't buy tape measure by the way, so I dun know how much I lost inch wise.

The good news though is that I am now 6 kgs away from my ideal weight. It was 8 when I started. *clapping hands*

I hope to continue doing this even after my island escapade with my sister. It's good to be fit and healthy. It's a hard way... but it's worth the effort.

Hip Hop Abs - Day 4

Saturday, April 24, 2010

This morning was my kids FLIPtech showcase in school. And so I didn't go to the club. I didn't have breakfast either.

But I had McDonald's for lunch. :( Ugh! There went my diet. I had two fried chicken and large french fries and a large coke. Another Ugh!

But as determined as I was to do the Hip Hop Abs everyday for two weeks, I did it.

And I had oats for dinner. Errrr... with sugar though. Sigh.

But the best of all, my husband is with me. I have a convert.

Yay!

Oh no, he doesn't do hip hop abs. He runs at the park and at the gym, and eat oats with me. That's what I meant.

That's a yay, right?

(Another) Yay!

Hip Hop Abs - Day 3

Friday, April 23, 2010

And so... my pursuit to losing weight and inches continues... Now you know that I'm really serious about it. I made it to day 3! LOL.

And as I did my Hip Hop Abs today, I tried doing some jumping jacks. I didn't do it all throughout. I am still not as capable to jump all the way.

And I have cut back on my carbo. And if I did drink coke... it was Coke Light. LOL. And yes, one cup of coffee a day for now.

This is getting more exciting. I don't see any significant changes yet... but I am sure I will. The exercise is so rigorous it's impossible not to see changes if I do it regularly.

Today, my husband took me to the club. He saw the determined me and he was encouraged. But since I hurt my knee the 2nd day of Hip Hop Abs, I didn't go to the gym with him. I went to the steam sauna instead.

And how I loved the feeling of my body relaxing. I feel that the muscles I strained were loosened a bit. And so... I thought... Going to sauna once a week for body relaxation would be great. I think it helped me not to feel so much pain in my body.

And so the pursuit to having a swimsuit body continues, one jump at a time.

Hip Hop Abs - Day 2

Thursday, April 22, 2010

I don't feel like doing it anymore. But I have to rise to the occasion and don't let my laziness get a hold of me. And so I had to drag myself to do my Hip Hop Abs day 2. And I did it slowly. I didn't follow everything they did. I didn't do the jumping jack. And so I made it through til the end of the whole video. Kudos to me.

Now, with me starting to exercise, I need to be careful with my diet, right? So I tried to control my food intake. Less rice, less sugar. I used to drink coffee 2-3 times daily. Now, I slowed down to one. Another yay!

So the second day came by... and...

My friend encouraged me to do body measurement so I could compare how much I lost. Hmmm... the problem is, I don't have a tape measure.

Note to self: buy one tape measure asap.

Before I started, I was 8 kgs away from my goal weight (and a size 12). Yeap. That heavy. My weight all came back after too much holidaying. I sure wasted my time, effort, and not to mention how much I spent just to do 5-day USANA reset.

Now, I wanna do it the hard way: exercise and less carbo and sugar.

Lord, help me through this challenge. My strength comes from you. :D

Hip Hop Abs - Day 1

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

I was encouraged to do hip hop abs coz I badly needed to lose some fats down there... I have no problem with my size now... except that bulge down there. And so I looked for a training that focuses on the core strength. So there... I tried the first part of my download.

10 minutes of it... and I felt like i was gonna die.

I could hardly breathe.

It's confirmed. I am 100% not fit.

This is a challenge. I may be content with my size now... but with me not being fit... it's another story.

And so the pursuit to be healthier... to be a better me physically, goes on... one jump at a time.

Hip Hop Abs

I first heard about this exercise from my friend Lalaine. And recently, we talked about it. She said she's been doing this because it's not only fun to do, it's effective as well. And so I searched all over youtube for the Hip Hop Abs training. I found it. It looks like it's a cool thing to do. I may use this exercise. And I wanna start tomorrow. I hope.

Did I tell you I needed to fit into my swimming gear again? :P

Here's the 1st part our of 5 that I have found online:

Care to join me, anyone?

And for others who are curious, I got the rest of the videos here:

There's More to Life

Yes, there's more to life than just pursuing physical health. Mental health should be a constant quest too. Education to enhance our mental capabilities shouldn't stop. It should be a life long process, like how we take care of our physical aspect.

Last time, even before the blogging age, I used to get online to take quizzes, test my knowledge skills and see where I was at. Sometimes, I got good results. Sometimes, it would be so bad. But knowing where you stand is the best start in aiming to be well-knowledged. Is there such a term? Anyways, I took a lot of tips I could probably give out test taking tips already. :D

Anyways, there are ProProfs quizzes available online. And they are for free. There's nothing sweeter and better than getting a free education online, is there? This website I found has FREE CompTIA School. This would of course help you in preparation for your certification exam like A+ exam and network+ exam. They do have an exam software so you kind of have an idea how's it gonna be like.

And if you like brain quizzes... you can take those too and see whether you are smart enough. There's no age limit in pursing more education. The more we know sometimes, the better. Right?

Breaking My "Why I Like Usana" Post

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

It's hard... but I have to break it. After posting my previous post Why I Like Usana, I have been getting traffic from blogger/com/navbar... for something like 20-30 clicks daily, until now. And I have been enjoying my traffic. But I need to move on, right. Gosh... it has been more than 2 months since I posted that one.

It hurts to see my traffic go away... but like I said, I need to move on. I need to post new ones... Otherwise, this blog would die.

Okay... so what have I been up to?

Hehehe. Actually, I only remember this blog when I have something to lose. You can guess what that is, right? Yep... I need to lose that thing again. I wanna fit into my swimming gear again for my Island Escapade with my sister.

I am excited (for my trip)... and anxious (for my weight loss pursuit).

Sigh. Bye, blogger traffic. Hello real posts!
