Marks and Spencers

I always struggle in looking for a perfect fit jeans for me. With my body structure and figure, I can only find the perfect fit from Levi's and Jag Jeans... something low waist cut. Today, my friend and I were in Sunway Pyramid just to hang around each other. Went to British India and checked whether they have some available pants for me. I was a bit disappointed that even the smallest size they had was still too big for me. We wanted to go to Starbucks after British India but we were passing by Marks and Spencers... so we decided to window shop there too. Glad we did. I found a perfect fit for me. It's a bit pricy... but I thought it has been 6 years since I didn't buy a pair of jeans for me. And skinny jeans, no matter how it has been in the trend since 3 years ago in Malaysia... I simply couldn't afford to buy it because it didn't flatter my figure. I didn't want to simply buy just because it's hot! I still wanted to stick to my right fit. And here it is, my first Marks and Spencers low waist cut jeans. With my bloggy earning, I could afford to buy this one this time. What a treat after doing those assignments till wee hours of the night.

Fashion

I love keeping up with fashion. I don't necessarily follow them. I only use the ones I am comfortable with and look good at. When I was small, my mom used to sew my dresses. She would keep up with what's the latest and sew it for me. Sometimes though, I became a trendsetter and I would become an envy in with my peers. Sometimes, I would design my own dress. I especially designed my own prom dress when I was in high school.

Speaking of prom dresses, there's a company that supplies beautiful prom dresses. I just checked their website and I was stunned with how beautifully they made prom dresses. In fact, they are the ones that supplied prom dress for 2008 ABC Family's new reality series America's Prom Queen. This month, in March, they have a sale going on. So better check out Promgirl.net. You will truly be amazed on how those dresses can be so beautiful.

I especially like the knee-length high prom dress. It is so chic. I don't mind wearing it... with prom or without prom. Make it red and it would be my ideal prom dress.

Promgirl.net offers prom shoes as well. Chic red prom dress paired with this pair of matching red stillettos and that would make me a happy prom girl.
Of course, the prices vary, depending on what style you want. You can get nice and beautiful matching prom dresses and shoes from below 300$. And if budget is not a problem and you want to have the best gown and shoes, then you can have it too.

If you're worried that you can't make a choice that fits you perfectly, Promdress.net offers prom advice. You may shoot them an email which is available at their website or simply call them. The phone number is available as well. You might want to check out the designer of the month as well and see which gowns are the top 10 gowns for this month.

The ratings and comments from the customers are all excellent. It's because they will give you the exact style you want that would perfectly fit you... and probably make you the Prom Girl of the night. They are also efficient with their deliveries. No wonder a lot of perople trust them to supply dresses of all kinds, sizes, and at any cost.

Wouldn't it be great if you're wearing the best prom dress and matching prom shoes on the most special day of your high school life?

I took a test of this and I used my maiden name's initials. I wanted to see if it differs with my married name's initials. It didn't change any thing. But I am blogging it anyway: Here's what my initials say about me: JLN

The Curious Case of My Mom's Health

My mother has been suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis since her early 40's. The cause of this disease is not totally known. Some people would say it's because when the hands or feet are tired and you wash them up, you'd surely get RA in the future. I would like to believe it to be an old wives' tale because it doesn't have a scientific explanation.

I really pitied my mom because I saw how she suffered. She used to sew dresses for me... but now she couldn't because the moment she starts putting her hand on the sewing machine, she would start to feel the pain. And she became very grumpy and grouchy everytime she felt the pain. To me, she was never the same again. I didn't know that arthritis could indeed affect people emotionally, mentally and physically.

What really is Rheumatoid Arthritis? As researcher as I was, I turned to the internet to see more about it the moment my mom was diagnosed of this kind of disease. And according to wikipedia.org, is a chronic, systemic inflammatory disorder that may affect many tissues and organs, but principally attacks the joints producing a inflammatory synovitis that often progresses to destruction of the articular cartilage and ankylosis of the joints. Rheumatoid arthritis can also produce diffuse inflammation in the lungs, pericardium, pleura, and sclera, and also nodular lesions, most common in subcutaneous tissue under the skin. Although the cause of rheumatoid arthritis is unknown, autoimmunity plays a pivotal role in its chronicity and progression.

My mom was prescribed some medicine like Celebrex, Prednisone, and Plaquenil... but after years of taking these medicine, we realized she's still suffering from RA. We almost blamed her doctor for giving her wrong medicine. There were in fact some side effects which truly disappointed us. Her kidney was, in fact, affected. Now she's got complications not only she's suffering from RA... she's got problem in her kidney as well. But actually, as I have searched further, there is really no known treatment that can cure this disease. There are of course some treatment that can alleviate symptoms and/or modify the disease process.

Now everytime I see ads for these treatment (like Enbrel, Arencia, Humira, and Remicade), I become very cynical. They only talk about the benefits. They never mention any side effects! And it truly hurt people. People would see the ads, buy the medicine thinking it could alleviate the pain... but at the end of the day, people suffer more because of its side effects. I just wish there is a regulation for all the ads to say the benefits and at the same time, the side effects so that people are warned before using the treatment.

Actually we have tried some herbal medicine for her. And it truly worked! Nature's way is a lot better compared to the synthetic ones. Now everytime my mother feels the pain, she would staright away go for the herbal medicine. What are the herbs that can treat RA? There are just sooo many. In fact, you can even find them in your garden. My parents love gardening and my dad would plant some herbs in the garden. So now they're using them to treat not only RA but other diseases as well.

We have angelica in the garden. Angelica is an herb that has been used in European folk medicine since antiquity. It can be used to treat arthritis. The Western variety of angelica has 12 anti-inflammatory constituents, ten antispasmodic (muscle relaxant) constituents, and five anodyne (pain-relieving) ones. The Chinese sometimes use their native variety of the plant (Angelica sinensis) for the same purpose. The Chinese species is sold in North America under the names dang gui or dong quai.

How to prepare it? Place 1 tablespoon of the cut roots of either species of angelica in 1 pint of water and bring to a boil. Cover and boil for two minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, until the water cools to room temperature. Strain and drink the tea in 3 doses during the day for two to three weeks at a time. Then, take a break for seven to ten days and start the treatment again if desired.

Now we don't need to spend a lot to treat Rheumatoid Arthritis. We go the nature's way. We can be sure of its effectivity... with ZERO side effects!

Tone It Down

I saw my gynaecologist, Dr. Datin Siti Zaliha, yesterday. I was glad to see her coz I was having lots of questions lately regarding my health. Of course, I cannot tell you what they were. Hehehe. Anyways, she assured me I was doing okay. Towards the end of the conversation she told me I slimmed down already. My ears got all stood up. LOL. Anyways... it was good to see her. She's a very busy lady doing her job and being a Datin at that. It's not like everyday people can see her at a grocery store.

Anyways, I was encouraged to hear that I have lost weight.

Actually my concern is not my weight but my tummy. I need to do something to tone it down.

Pregnant and Beautiful

I was one of those preggies that really cared how I looked even though I was pregnant. I remember well when I was pregnant with my first that I made sure I wanna look good inspite of my bulging tummy. Of course I was very careful with the products I was using, especially those that I applied on my skin. I remember having countless times in checking whether this product and that product was safe for me and the baby inside of me. It's quite tough because some products didn't have the test for preggy women.

Lucky for those who are pregnant now. There's this product called Beaute de Maman that is safe for both the pregnant mother and the fetus. They no longer spend hours and hours to do research whether the product they are using is safe or not. This product is actually discovered by celebrities themselves... so you can be sure that is really really good. If you wanna find out more about it, just visit their website. You may order now too if you're pregnant and looking for safe beauty products. It is essential that we take care of our skin and be safe while pregnant.
