Carlo Rino

I used to just drool over the Carlo Rino stuff. I discovered that I love dtheir products when we were at Genting Highlands and I was shopping for shoes/sandals. I saw one from the distance. And I fell in love with it straight away. I tried it on my feet. Only to be disappointed with the price. It cost like $$$!!! Which person can afford to buy that pair of simple sandals? Oh well, there are many rich people who can buy it. I was so disheartened I couldn't afford to buy a pair. So everytime I pass by Carlo Rino, I don't even give them a look.

Okay another story. Last week, I was window shopping for bags at Sunway Pyramid. I drooled over Sembonia hand bags. Sigh. Again, the one that I liked was very expensive. There was one that I could afford though (ehem ehem - with my bloggy earning, I could afford it). But I refused to buy it. When I got home, I regretted my decision. I should have bought it.

When hubby decided to take me with him to Alor Star, all the more I regretted for not buying the hand bag. However, when we were on the boarding gate (LCCT) going to Alor Star, there... lo and behold... a Carlo Rino shop! I quickly went inside and saw something I liked. With my husband's prodding, I bought it. Am I an impulse buyer? Not really... because I liked the hand bag so much. And besides it was on a 20% discount. Here it is, my first ever pure leather hand bag, Carlo Rino. Taaddaaa!!!

Which Fall's Fashion is Right for You?

Sophisticated Sistah

You've got an effortless elegance that makes you a natural leader and — c'mon, admit it — slightly intimidating to those around you. We bet that you have a taste for life's luxuries and aren't afraid to pamper yourself a little now and then, whether that means treating yourself to an extravagant spa treatment or picking up some 600-thread count sheets. Head out on the town in jeans and sneaks? You could, but why would you when fall's got so many great looks for a cool cat like you? Be on the prowl for a pair of sharp stilettos, a fur-trimmed jacket, and a leopard-print handbag. Meow!

Your splurge: Flash a little of your pampered flesh in a sexy silk evening dress, or wrap up in a chic capelet. Ooh la la!

Eat Yourself Smart

According to Women's Weekly Magazine, to make yourself sharper, just have:
  • tomatoes. They contain licopene, a cortenoid with powerful disease-fighting benefits that can help protect against dementia and pancreatic and prostate cancer;
  • oily fish. Tuna and Salmon are high in the omega-3 fatty acid, DHA. It's important for baby's brain development, and research has shown that a diet high in oily fish helps lower your Alzheimer's risk;
  • fortified cereals. The added B vitamins play an important role in nerve and brain function, and work effectively when taken together.
Another finding (from University of Cambridge study) is that 14 is the average number of years you add to your life if you eat lots of fruits and vegetables, exercise regularly and do not smoke.

And did you know... cranberry juice's protective benefits, such as warding off bladde infections, flu, stomach ulcers and tooth decay, work only in women, leaving scientists baffled?
